how many foresights have they billed?
how can they still ignore the proven?
where is the wisdom of the skilled?

where are the ones, who love discussions?
how many young have they confused?
how can they still give bad instructions?
where are the renegades abused?

i wanna be a basic teacher
i only preach christ crucified
i wanna be a simple preacher
i urge the cross undignified


where is the proof of living dourness?
how many stay in foolishness?
how can a human heart be hardened?
where will it base it’s selfishness?

where can you see wise man struggle?
how many look like tenderfeet?
how can he reach his destination
when he’s stuck in a dead-end street.

some of them still ask for signs
though evidence not pleased
others search for deeper wisdom
knowing that they’ll never cease.
